    Bishop Jeremiah C. Hackley is the son of Warren Maurice and Sandra Marie and the 4th great-grandson of abolitionists Rev. John William
    Hackley (Founder of the Anti-Slavery Baptist Association) and E. Azalia Hackley. Both were phenomenal contributors to global uplifting and
    justice in the early 1800s and 1900s. He is the loving husband of C. Danielle and father to five
    phenomenal children. Rev. Hackley is a multi-gifted author, ordained minister, itinerant lecturer, academic technologist, historian, and
    organizational consultant specializing in hybrid engagement solutions for congregations, the academy, and various public entities. He is the
    founder of Hackley Global Group, which serves humanity through divinity, data, and development.

She is the Founder of Black Esquire LLC and Goldsby Law, PLLC.  As a career coach, Aigné helps future and current lawyers of color successfully navigate the attorney journey. As an attorney, Aigné represents students and parents in education and juvenile law matters, and provides various legal services to businesses. Attorney Goldsby received her B.A. from Bryn Mawr College and her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

    A native of North Carolina, Christopher M. Houston is a published author, noted
    conference/workshop speaker, non-profit founder and a professional clinical & corrections chaplain. A member of the central office senior chaplaincy team, he serves as the National Faith Based Reentry Coordinator for the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Washington, D.C. As the bureau’s Faith-Based community liaison, he provides reentry support to 122 federal prisons nationwide and oversees the development of the Community Reentry Network-CRN (a nationwide
    clearing house of reentry resources for returning citizens).

    As Chairman of FIDE’s Chess in Education Commission, Jerry
    Nash believes in the power of chess to enable student success – both in and
    beyond the classroom. His 20+ years of experience as a leader of professional
    development for teachers has provided ample evidence that when teachers
    introduce chess as an educational tool, the classroom dynamics change because
    of the increase in student engagement and skill development. In 2021, Mr. Nash
    led the FIDE EDU Strategy Group and FIDE-EDU Certification and Endorsement
    Group, both tasked with outlining FIDE’s goals and strategies for Chess in
    Education over the next four years. In November of 2022, Mr. Nash was appointed
    Chairman for FIDE EDU.

A Rich Conference Heritage

2023 conference connected to heritage of Founders Dr. Jeremiah and Lady C. Danielle Hackley. Emma Smith: African American singer and Denver political activist born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee in 1867. Parents Henry and Corilla Smith, moved to Detroit where she attended Washington Normal School, graduating in 1886. Smith learned piano at three and later took private voice, violin and French lessons.
